We are seeking an individual to assit the Director of Community Serives to ensure smooth functioning of the Refugee Support and Immigration Services Department.  This will be a Temporary/Part-Time Position

This position will provide the opportunity to grow your skills, advance your career and gain experience in Refugee Support and Immigrant services.

By joining our diverse and compassionate team, you will be contributing to serve Refugees and Immigrants in the region.

As Community Organizer, you will help in creation of a welcome packet with resources for new comers.  Help to host social events to integrate new comers and the receiving community.  Will engage with the community by providing presentation about the refugee process.

• Strong Customer Service Skills
• Experience with diverse populations;  work with reguee and immigrant clients.
• Billingual skills are highly beneficial for this role
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational skills with ability to oversee multiple taks at one time.
• Competency using, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Google docs
• Detail oriented with excellent written and communication skills
• The individual must consent to the Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, a Pennsylvania State Police Criminal History Clearance and FBI Clearance.
• The Diocese of Scranton requires that all employees complete an initial VIRTUES Training Program, designed to empower organzations and people to better control reisk and improve the lives of all those who interact with the church.
• Employees will also be required to monitor the VIRTUES website and complete any internet updates as they become assigned.
