Description/Job Summary

Position reports to the Community Service Director for Catholic Social Services of Lackawanna/Wayne Counties.
 
Duties include but are not limited to:  professional counseling to clients, in particular, Spanish speaking clients in need of counseling services to include individual, marital, adolescents, and family.
 
Fluency in both English and Spanish; must be able to speak, read, write, translate and interpret from English to Spanish as well as Spanish to English.
 
Accurate and timely documentation of all services provided.
 
Independent Contractor Position – $40.00 per hour up to 20 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

Bi-Lingual - Fluent in Spanish – Speaking, Writing, Reading/Translating/Interpreting
Master Degree required in Social Work or Counseling
                       
This position requires a Proof of liability insurance; ChildLine, PA State Police, and FBI background checks prior to employment beginning; VIRTUS training (employer provided).
 
Preferred but not required Pennsylvania Licensed Counselor/Certified Counselor or Licensed mental health clinician, eligible for third party credentialing as a provider of out-patient behavioral health services, to serve a diverse population of adults, individuals and families. Available for evening hours.
